Hey All
Hope some one can help where starting to get a bit desperate for some clear answers here and the RFU haven't been overly helpful. We have had a number of under5's come down to the club and after seeing the succes of the local football teams soccer tots we decided to set up a group for them but we've just found out our RFU insurance may not cover us. Will we need additional cover? has anybody else set up a team this young and could they give advice on insurances etc needed for such a young age. Any help would be great. We've got some really good kids coming along and it would be a shame to turn them away due to burocracy.

Thanks in advance sorry about the spelling no checker on this browser LOL...

Hi Andrew, it is something I have heard of before but I will see if there are any of our contacts who may be able to help. I am sure there are some companies out there who will be able to help your little ones!
I will reply in the forum section for you.
Cheers

There seems to be some real confusion about this! Some of the people I have asked have said that it may well be covered under the clubs normal insurance but others are saying they are not used to dealing with kids this age. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks Tom, That seems to be the general oppinions i've had. Spoke to another coach at the weekend having similar problems. Seems that the main issue is RFU are scared of the kids getting involved in playing at under 7's to early... It's a real shame as i've seen a few football clubs running similar programs. I've also been told about an article in this issue of rugby world about a group called Ruggerbugs i'm on looking at them at the minute it's seems a good program but looks like a franchise type thing???? Anybody dealt with these??
