COMPETITIONS REPORT FOR 2007-08
1. Senior Cups. All the major competitions concluded during the season. Most of the senior finals took place over the same weekend 5/6th April, the last non league date in the season, due to slippage. The 1st XV Vase suffered many walkovers, Oakmeadians reaching the Final without playing a match. The roll of honour for competitions is:

2. U17/U18 Competitions. The Under 17 Knock Out is used to nominate teams for the National U17 competitions. Dorset & Wilts were asked to put 5 teams forward this season. Congratulations to Bournemouth U17 who won the South West Final but lost in the National Cup semi final. Additional entries for the Under 18 Merit Tables this season enabled geographic groupings in the North and South. There was a “super league” phase where the top 3 teams in each Division 1 Table having played 10 matches then played another 6 games home & away against the other Division 1 teams. The bottom 3 teams did the same. These results then qualified teams for the Under 18 Championship and Under 18 Bowl respectively. The Winners of the two Division 2 Tables also played off. Scheduling problems meant some play off semi finals did not take place. Honours went to:

3. Junior Competitions. Once again the Forums administered these very well with U11 and U12 festivals in each county, knock outs for U13-U16 in Dorset and leagues qualifying for semi finals in Wiltshire. The Dorset & Wilts U11 & U12 Festival was hosted by Bournemouth on 20 April who took it on at short notice as it was due to have been hosted by the Wiltshire Forum at Bradford on Avon who were unable to do it. The Youth Finals Day was held at North Dorset on 27 April. Under 11 - Under 16 CB and County champions were:
