Your News Tommy Hayes signs for Malvern

Malvern RFC today announced the signing of Tommy Hayes, former Worcester stand-off. Hayes was for several years a key member of the Warriors squad which went to the Premiership, and latterly has played for Coventry in the Championship. An accomplished playmaker and kicker, he will bring an added dimension to the Spring Lane side.

Malvern Director of Rugby Andy Longley also announced that two of Warriors internationals will be assisting with coaching at the National Three side this year. Im delighted that Neil Best and Andy Williams have made themselves available to us our players, especially our young emerging hopefuls, will learn a great deal from their sessions.

Malvern Youth Registration this weekend

Mel Dawson, Malverns head of Youth Development, announced that registration for all Youth teams will take place this Sunday, 29th August, from 10.00am to midday. We will welcome players of all abilities, within all age groups said Dawson. The emphasis at Malvern is skill development, from beginner level onwards, but above all we want our young people to have fun at the same time. Members of our first team squad will be assisting our band of dedicated coaches throughout the season and passing on their skills as well All parents are welcome every Sunday morning to watch their children develop, and refreshments are available. Dawson stated that she hoped many parents would be keen to become involved with the Club, either through coaching or as willing helpers off the pitch.
