Your News England A Women's team announced for France clash

England A will be looking for a fourth consecutive win to top off a triumphant season when they take on France A on Friday at the Stade Vellodrome in Rennes, France, kick off 415pm GMT.

Head coach Mike Barnett is sticking to essentially the same core squad of players that won their last three matches. They defeated Spain 10-5 and inflicted two wins on the Nomads, beating them 12-10 in February and then 26-7 last weekend.

The match will also see the return of Lichfield's Sarah Hunter. The talented flanker, who will play her first international game in a year, has 18 caps for England and will be looking to make a real impression ahead of the Women's Rugby World Cup 2010 this summer in London.

Barnett said: "This season has been a lot about a few players moving around to give them the chance to show the England coaches what they can do but essentially it's been about playing with a core group of players. We've only made a few changes to the squad that won last weekend as we have a core squad that is performing well and we want to stick to that."

Barnett welcomes the inclusion of Richmond's Francesca Matthews, Bristol's Kim Oliver, Worcester's Sam Reeve and Wasps' Michaela Staniford who have all played a part in England's RBS 6 Nations campaign this season.

He added: "Losing Claire Allan and Alice Richardson to the Six Nations squad will impact us in that we will miss their talent but we are also bringing some very experienced players back. Kim Oliver is vastly experienced and will bring her own brand of talent to the game. The squad is fairly settled now and that will be our advantage. We had a good win against Nomads and believe that we will get another good result.

"Confidence is very high in the squad right now," he added. "Everyone is looking forward to the last game. It's a nice way to finish the season, with a game away in France but we've always thought that this will be the toughest game of the four. It's a big journey and we have to take into account the vociferous French supporters but it will still be a fantastic experience and opportunity for us."
