Your News Stade Francais scrum half called up by England U20

STADE FRANCAIS scrum half Charlie Davies has been called into the England Under 20 squad ahead of their final U20 RBS 6 Nations game against France at Saint Nazaire on Sunday.

Davies, 19, signed for Stade last summer after a handful of appearances for Championship club Nottingham.

He went on to make his Top 14 debut in 22-18 defeat against Toulon last November and even ended up filling in at fly half for the injury-hit club against Brive last Friday night.

England head coach Mark Mapletoft makes two additions to the squad on duty for the 27-6 win against Scotland last Friday night.

Scrum half Davies replaces Jordi Pasqualin (Gloucester Rugby) and tight head Shaun Knight (Gloucester Rugby) and full back Tom Homer (London Irish) both return.

Homer was the leading points scorer at last year's IRB Junior World Championship but hasn't featured in the U20 RBS 6 Nations since the 41-14 opening win against Wales.

England and France can both still win the title but need leaders Ireland to trip up against Scotland in Athlone on Friday night.
