Your News England U20 name side to face Wales

FIVE players will win their first caps for England in the opening game of the RBS U20 Six Nations against Wales at Gloucester on Friday night (7.45pm).

Full back Tom Catterick (Newcastle Falcons), wing Sam Smith (Harlequins), lock Calum Green (Leicester Tigers), flanker Will Welch and No.8 Alex Gray (both Newcastle Falcons) are all in the starting line-up

They slot into an experienced side that contains seven survivors from last year's IRB Junior World Championship in Tokyo, where England were beaten finalists for the second year in succession.

Back in action after missing last month's 61-7 warm-up win against Cambridge University are established Guinness Premiership performers James Gaskell (Sale Sharks), Tom Homer (London Irish) and Rory Clegg (Harlequins).

Gloucester's Freddie Burns will be at fly half on his home ground with Clegg and Homer making up an exciting midfield trio.

"We're excited about the potential of this group and we've got a nice blend of young players coming into the side together with those who were involved with us last year," said head coach Mark Mapletoft.

"We want to play an exciting brand of rugby at a high tempo and they've all bought into that.

"We're under no illusions that Wales will be a really difficult test for us, though, and they continue to produce lots of talented young players. Both sides will want to play and move the ball, so it should make for a great contest at Kingsholm."
