Your News May & Baker 7 - Woodbridge Warrors 19

After four consecutive league wins The Warriors travelled to Dagenham to play May & Baker in the RFU Junior Vase. From a strong start the visitors Lee Barton kicked two penalties from poor M&B handling and some improved Warrior lineout play. However as the half progressed the game descended into some unstructured, end-to-end, scrappy rugger until May & Bakers forwards asserted themselves with a push-over try on half time.

In the second half, despite four Warriors spending time to reflect on yellow cards, Woodbridge gradually regained some discipline and this seasons familiar shape. Their forwards ground out some reliable possession for fly-half Josh Kimber to put Lee Barton over for a converted try. Amongst the occasionally horrific handling and bouts of ill-feeling, Woodbridge exploited penalties better than their hosts, slotting two more to put a Halloween smile on an otherwise grizzly game.
