GAME 1
TEIGNMOUTH 10 –V- PAIGNTON 15
Teignmouth under 10’s lost narrowly to a robust Paignton side in a hard fought match. Paignton took the lead early in the 1st half following a line out close to Teignmouth’s try line. Teignmouth struck back through Kyran Rendle who broke down the blind side to level the score, but from the restart the Teignmouth players were caught napping as Paignton scored straight away and stretched their lead with a third soon after. Teignmouth rallied and after several close attacks scored through Jamie Kelly, but as the game went on Teignmouth kept attacking through the forwards playing into Paignton’s strength and they were able to hold out.
GAME 2
The second game saw a different Teignmouth approach, passing the ball wide at every chance and scoring six tries in doing so. Fly half Joe Wilcox scored the first then both wingers Jason Jervis and Harvey Glanville gave Teignmouth a 15-5 lead at half time. The second half saw Teignmouth carry on the same way and Tom Carr soon scored as did Jason scoring his second, but the most deserved was the last by prop James McGeary who supported and tackled well all game and out run the Paignton cover defence to score the last try.
