TEIGNMOUTH officials will be going up in the clubhouse attic looking for old record books to find out who holds the 1st XV's try scoring record.
For young wingman Will Sowden is on 18 already and there is still half a season to play.
"The way he is going he could end up with 30 or more if he stays fit, which would be quite an achievement," said director of rugby Bob Farrell.
"Last season's leading try scorers had 12 each so Will has already beaten that by a distance.
"Andy Monnington was our leading try scorer for a number of years in the 1990s, but he was generally in the late teens.
If Will is going to break the record, it would be nice to know what the record is!"
Anyone who can assist Farrell with his enquires should contact him at the club on Teignmouth (01626) 774714.
