Teignmouth’s youngsters put in another good performance scoring ten tries against a spirted Torquay side on a very muddy pitch. Teignmouth started with the ball and set about attacking Torquay right from the start keeping procession for long periods. The first score was quick to come and it was scrum half Kyran Rendle who spotted a gap in the Torquay defence to sprint through and touch down. Teignmouth kept passing the ball out to the wing’s at every chance with Harvey Glanville and George Hingston stretching the Torquay defence every time they got the ball , Dan Woollnough was next to capitalize and scored Teignmouth’s second. Torquay replied breaking out from their own half to score, but from the restart a surging run from Morgan Tait forced Torquay back and Kyran finished the move scoring his second.
Torquay started the second half with the ball and scored straight away. From the restart Teignmouth hit straight back with Jamie Kelly running the ball in from the half way line, Dan then scored his second as did Jamie in quick succession. Kyran then completed his hat trick before Torquay scored their third and last tri, with five minutes left Archie Pope and Tom Carr scored deserved tries after putting in another good performance each. The last score went to Teignmouth’s Jamie completing another hat trick and excellent performance by himself and the team.
