Kingsbridge U15's (12) Vs. Teignmouth U15's (31)

Teignmouth Under 15’s, resting several players, travelled to Kingsbridge but still came away worthy winners, which begins to show their strength in depth.
From the kick-off Teignmouth pushed Kingsbridge back and after a couple of forward surges No 8, Jake Monnington, scored in the corner. Kingsbridge could not contain Teignmouth’s constant pressure and superior handling resulting in wingers, Sam Simmonds and Josh Davey both scoring under the posts. Inside centre, Shaun Bayliss, added the conversions to extend their lead to 19 – nil.
Kingsbridge hit back with an unconverted try but Bayliss responded with a try of his own. Lack of concentration let Kingsbridge in again for a half time score of 24 – 12.
In the second half both sides cancelled each other out with Teignmouth making various changes. The only score came from No 6 and captain, Joe Abbot, with Jack Saunders, just back from injury, adding the conversion from the touch line.
Teignmouth’s full-back, Henry Burridge, had an outstanding game with some crunching tackles. Final score 31 – 12.
Next week Teignmouth entertain Ivybridge at Bitton Park in the Devon Cup and if they can produce the form of recent weeks it should be a cracking cup-tie
