DUDLEY Kingswinford are through to the Midlands final of the National Under 17 Bowl after they beat Syston on the away team rule on Sunday.

The sides were level 19-19 in the delayed Midlands semi-final which was put back a week because of a waterlogged pitch and they could not be separated by tries so DK went through as the away team.

The Black Country outfit will now face Ashby in the Midlands Finals Day at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry on Sunday March 24 (11.45am) with a place in the national semi-finals at stake.

The full line up for Midlands Finals Day at Broadstreet on Sunday is:

National Under 17 Shield: Walsall v Paviors (10.15am), National Under 17 Bowl: Ashby v Dudley Kingswinford (11.45am), National Under 17 Plate: Lichfield v Old Northamptonians (1.15pm), National Under 17 Cup: Silhillians v Burton (3pm).

The Midlands winners will progress to meet their counterparts from the North at Doncasterís Castle Park ground on April 21.
