Stourbridge maintained their perfect start to the season with a 47-15 win at Bromsgrove. The victory was all the more impressive because the home side had not been beaten at Finstall Road for over a year; their last defeat on home turf came at the hands of Luctonians on September 10, 2011. Drew Harper was the destroyer-in-chief with a hat-trick of tries against his former club.

Hull Ionians made it five wins from five after a 20-9 success over Birmingham & Solihull at Damson Park. Ionians move up one place in the table to second as a result of the victory.

It was Luctonians who came out on top against Otley as two of the divisionís top teams met in Herefordshire. Alex Davidsonís outfit scored five second-half tries in a 43-18 win to bounce back from their first defeat of the season against Caldy the week before.

Otley are now level on 19 points with Darlington Mowden Park who continue to impress after last seasonís promotion from National 3 North. DMP led from first whistle to last to run out winners by 42 points to 27 against Huddersfield at Lockwood Park. Fly-half Grant Connon was successful with six kicks at goal for a 15-point haul.

Bottom-placed Huddersfield are one of five sides yet to taste victory. Westoe are immediately above them in the table with just two bonus points to show for their efforts all season. They drew a blank at home to Preston Grasshoppers, who ran in seven tries for a 47-17 win at Wood Terrace.

Stockport and Hull are also still searching for their first victories following respective defeats at the hands of Leicester Lions and Caldy. Lions won 24-8 in Cheshire, while Richard Vasey was once again the star of the show for Caldy after booting 17 points in a hard-fought 32-28 success at Hull.

Not for the first time this season Sheffield Tigers had Tom Outram to thank for victory. Their dependable fly-half held his nerve to convert Ross Whiteís late score to see them snatch a 21-19 victory at Dudley Kingswinford.
