ORGANISERS of the third Manchester Rugby 7s are promising participants and visitors a major entertainment experience when the MR7s Festival takes place from May 13/15 at Broughton Park FC.

The new site allows us to re-introduce the social tournaments and off-field entertainment which were a big success for us in 2009. So far the response has been very positive and plans are in place for a great weekend. said Marco Vaghetti, Tournament Director.

Off the pitch musical entertainment will be provided at the Festival Party Marquee, with DJs and bands playing music all weekend, while elsewhere the Red Bull chill-out wigwam, hot tub, massage girls, fancy dress, kids play zone, rugby camp, VIP hospitality, trade village and a variety of food outlets will ensure that there is plenty to occupy visitors aside from the sporting activity.

On the pitch the action is expected to embrace world-class rugby from the likes of Aviva Premiership side Sale Sharks, 2010 Middlesex 7s champions Samurai and a host of international teams, while if its social rugby you are after, there are competition for ladies, vets and boys, a range of tournamentsfor men and a Fancy Dress Cup on Saturday.

Its a great day and a great place to watch rugby, said Phil Greening, former British Lions and England international.
