Teignmouth Under 15’s opened their new campaign with an emphatic win against Torquay. From the kick-off Jake Monnington collected the ball and ran through Torquay’s defence to score under the posts. From then on they kept up the momentum running in a further five tries from wingers Bryan Nicholls and Sam Simmonds, full back Ross Manester and outside centre Josh Davey (2). Jack Saunders added 5 conversions for a half time score 40 – nil.
In the second half Teignmouth continued the pressure starting off the half with another quick try from Sam Simmonds. Torquay hit back with an unconverted try which only inspired Teignmouth to regain control running in a further five tries, back row forwards Jake Allison and Captain Joe Abbot, Josh Davey adding another 2 to his tally along with fellow centre Shaun Bayliss. Saunders added a further 4 conversions for a full time score of 78 – 5.
