The Vipers have named eight medal winners in their preliminary squad, including SCC 7s veterans Cecil Afrika and Bernardo Botha, as well as returning captain, Kyle Brown and 2009 South Africa Sevens Player of the Year, Frankie Horne. In addition, HSBC Penguins, who will make their debut at this year’s SCC 7s, have named New Zealand 7s international Nafi Tuitavake in their squad, along with Junior All Blacks Nalu Tuigamala and Ken Pisi.
Dozens of other internationals will participate, from countries including Fiji, Japan, Hong Kong, Namibia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Cyprus and, of course, Singapore, for various national teams, invitations sides and clubs.
