Woodbridge School sponsors Clubs 2nd annual

Youth Festival on Sunday 10 October 2010

Following on from the success of the inaugural Festival last year Woodbridge Rugby Club, best known as the home of the Warriors and Amazons senior mens and womens rugby teams, will host its second Development Festival for Under 9s to under 12s at the Clubs grounds on Sunday 10 October from 10.30am to 3pm.

Generously sponsored by Woodbridge School - youth development squads are expected from Cambridge, Colchester, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Felixstowe, Southwold, Bury, Sudbury and Stowmarket to compete for Cup, plate and shield. Like last year the 1,000 players and supporters can expect a full programme of matches, prizes, a raffle, BBQ and trade stands.

Woodbridge Rugby Club has an extensive Youth section with a growing membership of some 300 boys and girls but has spaces for more U13s (Year 8). Its successful appeal to youngsters comes not only from the growing appeal of the game but also from its full schedule of fixtures and other events organised by a tireless group of parents and RFU qualified and CRB checked coaches.

Karen Debenham, Festival organiser, says Last years festival was a huge success bringing out the best of the countys youth. Woodbridge Rugby Club is delighted to host the Festival - it is an enjoyable way to involve youngsters, especially those new to Rugby, in this exciting and healthy sport.

All spectators are welcome for what should be a fun and competitive Festival.
